Grown at the foothills of Mount Kenya, this coffee offers rich fruity flavors and lively acidity. It is sourced from the Nyeri region, specifically the town of Karatina, and is made from SL-28, SL-34, and Ruiru 11 Arabica varietals. The coffee is fully washed and harvested during the fly crop in June and July, and the main crop in November and December.

This coffee is a product of Bean There's direct fair trade partnership with the Ruthagati Cooperative, a member of the greater Rutuma Farmer Cooperative Society which represents 800 & 4,600 members respectively. The coffees are grown just 65km south of the Equator, at the foothills of Mount Kenya. Bean There has been working with Ruthagati since 2007.
